Early Inhabitants and European Colonization
The beloved area that we now know as Clermont was first inhabited by a group of indigenous people called The Timucua. Among these individuals included Urriparacoxi — who was a chieftain during Hernando de Soto’s expeditions from 1539 to 1540.

Reincorporation and Growth
